HISTORY BEGIN

Can Tho General Printing Joint Stock Company was established on January 31, 1977 (Decision No. 02/QD-UBT.77 dated January 31, 1977 of the People's Committee of Hau Giang Province) with the business: Printing of all kinds textbooks, newspapers, journals, magazines, lottery tickets, invoices, receipts, records, management forms, trademarks, packaging and printing supplies business for political tasks and economic development for Can Tho city and provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

Looking back at its origin, Can Tho General Printing Joint Stock Company originated from the Liberation Printing House of the Southwest region, which was established in 1960 during the anti-American resistance war in Ca Mau province. During the two campaigns of Spring 1968 and 1975, the printing house participated in the battlefield service in Can Tho area and was assigned by the Party Committee to take over the printing facilities of the puppet government in Can Tho on the day Can Tho was liberated 30/. April 1975.

After the South was completely liberated, the district level was dissolved, a part of the Liberation Printing House of the Southwest Region and 3 printing houses of the provinces including Soc Trang, Can Tho and Chuong Thien merged to establish the State-owned printing press. Hau Giang products on January 31, 1977, on April 28, 1988, the state-owned publication Hau Giang changed its name to Hau Giang Paper and Printing Enterprise (due to the scarcity of printing materials, it actively planned to plan to invest in a recycled paper factory to overcome the difficult paper resources at that time), in 1992, renamed Can Tho Printing Enterprise, in 1993, renamed Can Tho General Printing Enterprise.

Implementing the policy of the Party and the State on equitization of state-owned enterprises, on January 16, 2006, Can Tho General Printing Enterprise held the General Meeting of Shareholders, officially transformed into a Joint Stock Company. Print Can Tho summary according to Decision No. 4044/QD.UBND dated December 6, 2005 of the People's Committee of Can Tho city.

Over 60 years since its establishment (1960) up to now, the Company has always successfully completed the printing of documents to serve political tasks for the Party and State, making an important contribution to the victory of the army. and people in the Mekong Delta in the past war of resistance against the US for national salvation, as well as contributing to the important achievements of localities in the region in the process of building and developing the economy, culture, and society. culture and society from the day of liberation to the present day.
